រង្វង់មូលរូបសំណាកតោពីរ The two-lion statues

រូបសំណាកគោពីរត្រូវបានកសាងក្នុងកំឡុងឆ្នាំ១៩៦២ តំណាងឱ្យព្រះបរមនាមព្រះមហាក្សត្រព្រះបាទសម្តេចនរោត្តម សីហនុ និងជានិមិត្តសញ្ញារូបសំណាកតំណាងខេត្តព្រះសីហនុ ដែលព្រះបាទសម្តេចនរោត្តមសីហនុទ្រង់ជាស្ថាបនិក។ ទីក្រុងនេះដំបូងមានឈ្មោះថា “ក្រុងកំពង់សោម” ហើយត្រូវ បានប្តូរឈ្មោះទៅជា “ក្រុងព្រះសីហនុ” ក្នុងឆ្នាំ២០០៨។

ចាប់ពីពេលនោះមក ឈ្មោះថ្មីនេះត្រូវបានប្រជាពលរដ្ឋហៅតរៀងមករហូតដល់បច្ចុប្បន្ននេះ។ ចំណែកឯ រូបសំណាក សត្វគោដែលតំណាងឱ្យស្ដេចសត្វ ត្រូវបានប្រជាពលរដ្ឋកម្ពុជាគោរព និងយកទៅតម្កល់នៅតាមមុខផ្ទះ អគារ សាធារណៈ ក្រុមហ៊ុន ស្ថាប័នឯកជន ជាពិសេសនៅតាមវត្តអារាមដើម្បីសុំសេក្តីសុខ ភាពចម្រុងចម្រើន និងអំណាច។

The two-lion statues, built in 1962, represented the name of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Norodom Sihanouk. (Singha-Lion, the King of Animals, Hanu: Hanuman, the legendary King of Monkey in the epic, the Ramayana, which depicts Cambodia’s History). Originally, the city was named “Kompongsom” and then renamed “Sihanoukville” in 2008. Since then, it has been called Sihanoukville. Belief, lion statues are seen in front of some houses, public buildings, companies, and private institutes, and especially pagodas for happiness, prosperity, and power.
